Why did the QA capitalize the first word of my chunk and add punctuation at the end?

The reason that transcribers are instructed not to begin with a capital or end in punctuation is because they do not have the full context of the file to know where a sentence begins or ends. However, the QA who pieces the file together (after the various chunks have been reunited) has to punctuate the file as per standard formatting conventions. This sometimes means that they need to add punctuation to the end of a chunk or change the first word to a capital letter.

When this happens, it is not counted against the transcriber in any way, nor does it factor into your accuracy percentage for the chunk, although you will see the highlighted change.
